Status Update: Adoptee Pow Wow In Progress

August 21, 2014 § Leave a comment

August 21, 2014, Though there is possibility it may take place Fall 2014, The North American Indian Adoptee Pow Wow, that will have a specific focus on adoptees placed in USA via Canada Scoops, will likely take place in South Hampton, NY area Spring/Summer 2015. We are still identifying appropriate sponsor(s) AND the primary force behind the pow wow, Sandy White Hawk, is recovering from auto-accident (car went through restaurant into booth she was sitting at).

We still are not accepting, and we will not be accepting, individual donations. Funding for the event will come from 1-4 qualified, individual sponsors. We do not accept individual donations because the cost of meeting obligations per donor – no matter the amount that they give may it be $1,000 or $1,000,000 – is the same, i.e., In an effort to keep costs down and quality of event up, we can’t afford to take any (1) donation that is smaller than 25% of total amount of the cost of the event.

We will provide additional updates on this blog every few weeks.
