Obama’s Immigration Order

November 21, 2014, After Obama’s Immigration Order announced last night, if it’s put into practice as it is originally presented last night, it seems that the remaining significant problem for this group of Canada Scoop Victims in USA looking to legitimize their immigration status in USA is their lack of reliable identification documentation. They likely don’t have it because, the nature of genocide and scooping, the adoptions were not legal, and it’s very difficult to obtain because neither Canada nor USA have office/mechanism set up to specifically handle this particular documentation problem for this particular group of genocide victims.
If TRC-Canada would expand its mandate so that it again recognized all victims of Canada Scoops, including those who were not kept within Canada but also those who were placed in USA (and west Europe), a.k.a. USA Placed Victims-Survivors of Canadian Scoops, that would encourage all involved governments to provide reliable, transparent mechanisms by which ALL USA Placed Victims-Survivors of Canadian Scoops can access identification documentation necessary for the applications that Obama’s Immigration Order provides for.
