A Group of 1st Nations People Reminding TRC That Some Canada Scoops/Sixties Scoops Victims Are Still Unaccounted For

April 18, 2015 § Leave a comment

April 18, 2015, (see link below) “A group of First Nations people from Treaty 9 Mushkegowuk area are walking from Cochrane to Ottawa to bring awareness to the damage Indian Residential Schools did to their culture, their families, to individuals and their way of life. While that is the main objective of the walk, the Treaty 9 group is dedicating the next five days of the walk to missing and dead aboriginal women, and will be thinking of them and directing their energy to this issue as they make their way down the road.” It’s uncertain what portion of the missing Scoops victims are unaccounted for because, instead of being kept within Canada, they were placed in USA and west Europe adoption and foster care system. To date, only 1 victim of Canada Scoops placed in USA has been recognized by this particular TRC-Canada, i.e., once he was acknowledged by this TRC-Canada and subsequently used that recognition to gain expedited approval of USA Citizenship application, TRC-Canada edited their mandate to exclude victims of Canada Scoops/Sixties Scoops who were not kept within Canada. The same editing of the TRC-Canada mandate also made it more difficult for victims who were kept within Canada but placed, not in residential school system, but in Canada adoption and foster care.

is example of a portion of what we hope will take place in South Hampton, New York, Autumn 2015; the potential North American Indian adoptee reunification pow wow will have a particular focus on North American Indian adoptees who were placed in USA via Canada Scoops.

Again, while we are speaking with large corporate sponsors And well-informed, qualified high net worth social investors interested in underwriting such an event, we are NOT taking individual donations.

Back To The Debate: North American Indian v. Native American Indian v. American Indian v. 1st Nations People

April 13, 2015 § Leave a comment

April 13, 2015, The debate regarding the monikers used for Indians in North America continues. The only agreement we have is that the term Native American Indian isn’t correct, it’s a term created by marketing people. The survey that this blog offered several years ago, quite honestly, came out about even in terms of which names should be used, i.e., no consensus. One former football player who did time with Washington Redskins actually considerately suggesting this population of individuals should simply refer to themselves however they wanted to.

Confirmed: THIS TRC – Canada Will NOT Release Information On Canada Scoop Victims Placed In USA and west Europe

April 12, 2015 § Leave a comment

April 12, 2015, It’s been respectfully confirmed by staff of TRC-Canada that when THIS particular Truth & Reconciliation Commission – Canada releases it’s findings during the May – June 2015 Conference, http://www.trc.ca/websites/trcinstitution/index.php?p=3, data on victims of Canada Scoops placed in USA and west Europe will NOT be included. While of course there may be discussion of those victims, including USA Placed Victims-Survivors of Canadian Scoops and those placed in west Europe, estimated numbers will not be released in the 2015 Conference because ultimately this truth & reconciliation commission chose to limit its victim population to those victims of Canada Scoops who were kept within Canada and to not include those who were transferred, effectively trafficked, out of Canada and into USA and west Europe.

Based on media research there are at least a few thousand victims of Canada Scoops who were placed in USA and west Europe and who are still unaccounted for. It’s likely there are more victims than the few thousand the media have been notified of.

Only 1 victim of Canada Scoops placed in USA and west Europe has been acknowledged by this particular Truth & Reconciliation Commission – Canada (see, ‘Notable Scoops’, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixties_Scoop AND see, ‘Notable Residents’, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilton,_Connecticut).  Once he received his USA Citizenship expedited because he was recognized a victim of this particular genocide, a.k.a. Canada Scoops/Sixties Scoops, the mandate of Truth & Reconciliation Commission – Canada was edited so that only victims of Canada Scoops who were kept within Canada would be recognized and those that were not kept within Canada but instead placed in USA and west Europe would be excluded.
