April 8, 2015, The Pamunkey Tribe experience isn’t unlike most others trying and those that have tried, both with success and not, to achieve federal recognition. These 2 links, while the journalists’ take on who oppressed who and why, give an idea of what ‘interests’ tribes have to – in addition to the fundamental criteria – navigate.
