May 12, 2015 (Updating post originally published, March 5, 2015, bolded text at beginning is the update),
We decided that we will Not publish the names and contact information of those that facilitated our ‘receipt of the North American Indian Status cards without having to show up in Canada in person’ because it would jeopardize the same facilitators ability to provide the same assistance to others. Just as we saw TRC-Canada edit its mandate to preclude victims of Canada Scoops/Sixties Scoops who were not kept within Canada but instead placed in USA and west Europe immediately after they were informed that their original mandate allowed us to achieve recognition of 1 USA Placed Victim-Survivor of Canadian Scoops, our concern is that the same ‘close up that loop hole-reaction’ would happen in regard to ‘obtaining the blood quantum cards without having to go to Canada’.
March 5, 2015, Discussing with representatives of Truth & Reconciliation Commission – Canada and North American Indian adoptee advocates in USA how it’s best and/or if it is in best interest of USA Placed Victims-Survivors of Canadian Scoops to disclose steps taken Including contact information of persons and agencies in USA and Canada that facilitated our receipt of North American Indian Status cards and North American Indian Blood Quantum Letters without the applicant having to cross border between USA and Canada, i.e., the stated-requirement for receipt of these documents is that the applicant appear in Canada in person.
That in-person appearance requirement is a problem because at same time Canada agencies require the Canada Scoop Victim/Sixties Scoops Victim placed in USA to appear in Canada in order to receive those documents, USA agencies advise them not to leave USA until their identification documentation is clarified, resolved., i.e., in this regard, victims of Canada Scoops, Sixties Scoops are in a real Catch 22. If we can release more information about how we were able to get these documents without applicant having to appear in Canada without then jeopardizing the use of those same means, we will.
