The Wayne Snellgrove Victim Statement – Adoptive Parents Are Victims Too
June 29, 2015 § Leave a comment
June 29, 2015, Wayne’s story (see link below) reminds everyone that, along with the scooped child and his/her biological family, the American (and west Europe) parents that adopted the scooped Canadian Indian children are victims too. These Americans were led to believe that the children had been put up for adoption by their own parents, i.e., the guilt they feel now knowing that was not the case as well as the difficulty they had understanding why their adopted children from Canada were so ‘upset’, etc., was and is a real emotional hardship for them. Wayne’s USA-adoptive parents and siblings were especially supportive of him, and Taber Gregory’s – according to his victim statement filed with National Archives of Canada by Truth & Reconciliation Commission – Canada – adoptive brothers were for him as well, but the years of not being understood, they claim, takes a toll.
