CBC Editors Cite Record Coverage of North American Indian Issues in 2015

December 30, 2015 § Leave a comment

Decembers 30, 2015, Editors of CBC News out of Canada cite 2015 as year during which they have covered most aboriginal issues, but no coverage at all citing victims of Canada Scoops trafficked out of Canada and placed in USA and west Europe, http://www.cbc.ca/news/aboriginal/cbc-aboriginal-newsmakers-1.3372418

Of course the legal quagmire that is result of crossing/trafficking the children across the Canada and USA borders offers a whole additional layer of legal challenges in the process of reconciliation and restitution-compensation, but just as the governments of Canada and elites of the North American Indian bands were able to do the damage they also have the capacity to show up for real reconciliation and compensation.

What’s Missing From Talking Points Surrounding Release of TRC-Canada The Final Report

December 21, 2015 § Leave a comment

December 21, 2015, After reading 10+ news – common and academic – articles on TRC-Canada, The Final Report, USA Placed Victims-Survivors of Canada Scoops want to know how effective can a report that both Willfully excludes victim statements taken from a specific portion of the victim population while also Referring to itself as ‘Final’ be?

Nobody can argue that the scooping of North American Indian children that underlies all Canada Scoops, Sixties Scoops, Baby Scoop Era complaints was horribly wrong, but The Following Is Arguable:

  1. Government of Canada is alone responsible for scooping;  The Canada Government couldn’t have done this without the complicity of the elites of each tribe scooped from, i.e., Each scooping that took place And that involved a scooped child who was then trafficked out of Canada And placed in USA and west Europe took place only after a ‘tribe members only’ court type procedure to gauge the welfare of the child if kept in the biological family home took place. In every instance it was a family member that reported the child was in danger if kept with his/her family, and in ever case elites of the child’s own tribe made the decision for Canada Government to scoop the child and send them to what they considered to be a healthier home than the one they were borne into.

And, it’s also arguable that

2. The children scooped would have been better off if left in their biological homes, because Within each USA Placed Victim-Survivor of Canada Scoops story, while the victims are upset as to how they were taken, all agree that it’s because they were removed and placed in healthier, wealthier homes, that they went on to have better and even healthier, longer lives than if they had stayed with biological families. In most situations victims of Canada Scoops placed in USA and west Europe are The Only children of their biological families still alive and not suffering from alcoholism, poverty, etc.

Final Report of TRC-Canada Presented To Trudeau, Fails To Mention Recognition Of USA Placed Victims Of Canada Scoops

December 16, 2015 § Leave a comment

December 16, 2015, The final report of TRC-Canada presented to PM Trudeau yesterday (link below) failed to mention TRC-Canada recognition of victims of Canada Scoops who were not kept within Canada but who were instead placed in USA and west Europe, a.k.a., USA Placed Victims-Survivors of Canada Scoops.  There are at least – and this is an enormously conservative estimate – 2-3 thousand USA (and west Europe) placed Victims-Survivors of Canada Scoops.

Canada Scoops, a.k.a.: Sixties Scoops, 60’s Scoops, Baby Scoop Era.

The symbolic highlight of Yesterday’s event, leaving (2) empty chairs in the front row to symbolize those missing and murdered, should have left a 3rd empty chair to acknowledge these children placed in USA and a 4th empty chair for those children scooped and placed in west Europe.

The reply to inquiries about this ‘oversight’ is that the mandate of TRC-Canada was specifically – not for all victims of Canada Scoops but rather it was only for those children who were, after being scooped, kept within Canada AND placed in the residential boarding school system; however, while that is certainly the final mandate of the recently concluded TRC-Canada, the original mandate of the same TRC-Canada did not exclude victims of Canada Scoops who were trafficked out of Canada and placed in USA and west Europe adoption and foster care, i.e., that’s how Taber Gregory/Taber Meier, a.k.a., Henry Desjarlais achieved his TRC-Canada victim status, that status subsequently reaffirmed by USCIS. Soon after TRC-Canada was informed of this USCIS use of TRC-Canada recognition by a victim, the mandate of TRC-Canada was edited to exclude victims of Canada Scoops who were not kept in Canada after being scooped.

December 9, 2015, Somehow North American and west Europe media has been misinformed; It is NOT True that the recently concluded Truth & Reconciliation Commission – Canada did not recognize any victims of Canada Scoops – Sixties Scoops – 60’s Scoops placed in USA and west Europe, i.e., TRC – Canada recognized 1 USA Placed Victim-Survivor of Canada Scoops, Taber Gregory, a.k.a., Taber Meier, a.k.a., Henry Desjarlais. That TRC-Canada recognition was then used to achieve expedited approval of his US Citizenship on basis of him being victim of that particular genocide. Soon after TRC-Canada was informed of this achievement, the mandate of TRC-Canada was edited to exclude victims of Canada Scoops who were not kept within Canada but who were instead placed in USA and west Europe.

December 9, 2015, Wayne Snellgrove, who is a class action representative  for suit filed by Merchant Law Group on behalf of USA Placed Victims-Survivors of Canada Scoops, a.k.a., 60’s Scoops victime placed in USA, has an update on twitter: https://twitter.com/bearsmoke71/status/674623536485572609

North American Indian Issues ARE A Priority For Trudeau Government, But Still Nothing For Victims of Canada Scoops Placed In USA and west Europe?

December 9, 2015 § Leave a comment

December 9, 2015, Canada New Prime Minister is taking first steps towards satisfying his North American Indian agenda, and it’s impressive. http://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2015/12/08/canada-to-launch-inquiry-into-murdered-aboriginal-women?src=usn_tw

But when will the Trudeau Government make the same efforts towards identifying and locating Victims of Canada Scoops placed in USA and west Europe?  They need to know who they are, for both governments of Canada and USA(and west Europe) to recognize them as victims of this particular genocide, and they need a transparent and reliable legal-route by which they can legalize their immigration status in USA and west Europe. This was important 40 years ago, and only has grown more so, in USA since 9/11 legislation passed, and now again that immigration restrictions are being activated on state and local levels.
